AANMC 2-Minute E-News:
Naturopathic updates for the unnaturally busy student
College Happenings: Fall Events at SCNM
The SCNM campus in Tempe, Ariz., is the place to be this fall! With multiple happenings planned in support of naturopathic medicine and naturopathic medical education, anyone interested in the field will have plenty of opportunities to attend and participate in exciting events. Whether you're a naturopathic doctor (ND), an SCNM patient or student, or a prospective student, be sure to mark your calendar!
The 2009 Red Ball: Supporting Arizona’s medically underserved
SCNM and The Sage Foundation for Health’s annual 2009 Red Ball will be held November 7, 2009. This year's theme: An Evening with the Stars. The event will be a Hollywood-style red carpet experience! The paparazzi will be on hand to snap guests’ pictures as they wine, dine and dance the night away in support of naturopathic medicine!
The funds generated by the Red Ball are vital to the continued existence of eight naturopathic medical facilities, which are staffed by SCNM naturopathic doctors and medical students, and supported by The Sage Foundation for Health, a nonprofit organization devoted to providing quality natural health care to the medically uninsured and underserved in the Phoenix metro area. Learn more and register for The 2009 Red Ball.
SCNM’s Fall Discovery Day
Ever wanted to spend a day with the naturopathic medical experts at SCNM? Discovery Day is your chance!
If you're a prospective student, a prospective or current patient, a health-care practitioner or just interested in learning more about naturopathic medicine, this is one event you will want to attend. Discovery Day will be a fantastic way for you to gain a sense of the culture, energy and passion that drive the SCNM community.
To accommodate your busy schedule, you'll have two opportunities to discover what SCNM has to offer! Attend either Discovery Day:
• Saturday, November 21, 2009, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Don’t miss this chance to tour the campus, hear presentations by naturopathic medical experts, watch acupuncture and physical medicine demonstrations, learn what to expect as a naturopathic patient, visit vendor booths, meet one-on-one with SCNM admissions advisors and more! RSVP on SCNM’s website.
So when planning your activities this November, be sure include these fantastic opportunities to support and learn about naturopathic medicine. And for those of you not traveling to Arizona, you’ll have another chance to meet up with naturopathic doctors and students online — attend AANMC’s last Webinar of the year on Nov. 12.
Wishing you a healthful and happy autumn,
