Ashley Burkman, Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Burkman is a graduate of National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). As a naturopathic physician practicing at Connecticut Natural Health Specialists, Dr. Burkman treats a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Dr. Burkman enjoys treating whole families and empowering them to work as a team to regain health. She keeps her practice open to all conditions but has a particular interest in gastroenterology, pediatrics and women’s health.
Dr. Burkman was attracted to naturopathic medicine after completing her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences at NUHS. After several positive interactions with naturopathic staff on campus, she knew this was the career path she wanted to pursue.
After graduation, Dr. Burkman met with naturopathic colleagues throughout the country and settled in in Conn., where she currently resides and practices. An Iowa native, Dr. Burkman enjoys Hawkeye football games and hiking and has a soft spot for cats.
