Dr. Telfair was originally drawn to the field of naturopathic medicine while searching for a deeper understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection. She earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton with a dual major in Biology and Psychology. To her private practice, Dr. Telfair brings knowledge and training in clinical nutrition, lifestyle counseling, homeopathy, botanical medicine and craniosacral therapy, and she offers her patients a safe and comfortable place in which to explore their health holistically. She welcomes patients of all ages and backgrounds who are in search of a natural and compassionate approach to wellness.
While completing her naturopathic training, Dr. Telfair also completed training in massage therapy through the Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, WA, and was awarded a Venture Grant to study homeopathic practices in the United Kingdom. She has a background in working in hospital-oriented pastoral care, with autistic children and with HIV-positive individuals. Dr. Telfair holds a license for Naturopathic Medicine in Washington State (Maryland does not currently license this profession) and she is nationally certified for massage therapy (NCTMB) and licensed by the Maryland State Board of Chiropractors. In addition to her private practice in Baltimore City, Dr. Telfair also works as a part-time researcher for Pinnacle Care International, a reputable healthcare advocacy group based in Baltimore, MD. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the Maryland Association of Naturopathic Physicians (MDANP) and the National Center for Homeopathy (NCH).
