Guru Sandesh Khalsa, ND
Dr. Khalsa is the current president of the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medicine Colleges and President of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. Khalsa graduated from National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in 1978. He began working at NCNM immediately thereafter, in a variety of capacities from 1979-2002. These have included professor of naturopathic medicine; chair of the clinical sciences department; dean for academic affairs; chief academic officer and interim president.
Dr. Khalsa has a long history of involvement with accreditation activity, most significantly with the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME). He represented NCNM as an institutional member from 1996-2002, including a three-year term as president, from 1998-2001.
After being selected to serve as dean of the College of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport in 2004, Dr. Khalsa renewed his relationship with the CNME, where he has served as an institutional member from 2007 - 2010. Dr. Khalsa has participated in numerous site visits, for both CNME and the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dr. Khalsa represents this program on the board of the AANMC.
