Joanne Wu, Naturopathic Doctor & Licensed Acupuncturist
Dr. Wu uses both Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine to connect with, engage, and encourage each person’s own unique vital force or intrinsic natural healing abilities.
“I believe healing requires both Yin and Yang, Eastern and Western, art and science. My previous calling as an ecosystem biologist coupled with over seven years of study in both the science and art of medicine enables me to effectively link these worlds for my clients.
Furthermore, I believe the macrocosm and the microcosm are closely intertwined. The health of the world is dependent upon the wellness of each individual within. The health of each person is inextricably linked to their environment and surroundings. Thus, by healing ourselves we further the healing of the Earth.”
Dr. Wu obtained a doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine and a master’s degree in Oriental medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Ore., the oldest accredited school of naturopathy in North America. Her hope is to effect positive change in this region by bringing together ancient and modern knowledge.
Dr. Wu currently practices at Lineage Natural Health in Takoma Park, Md.
