Patti Kim, Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Kim received her BA in premedicine and studio art from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. She received her doctor of naturopathic medicine degree and her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Ore.
Dr. Kim has been trained extensively as a primary care physician who specializes in addressing the underlying causes of disease through effective, individualized natural therapies. Dr. Kim’s goal as a naturopathic doctor and classical Chinese medicine practitioner is to employ therapies that support and promote the body’s natural healing processes. She is passionate about the body’s magnificent abilities to self regulate and restore homeostasis. She believes in the body’s natural rhythms and integrating the body as a complete whole. She is driven by the six principles of naturopathic medicine which include: First Do No Harm, The Healing Power of Nature, Identify and Treat the Causes, Doctor as Teacher, Treat the Whole Person, and Prevention.
Dr. Kim integrates Eastern and Western philosophies in order to best treat her patients. She tailors treatments to the needs of each individual. She employs treatment modalities of clinical nutrition, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, Western and Eastern botanicals, acupuncture, qi gong, and lifestyle counseling to treat acute and chronic disease. She believes in optimizing health in order to decrease the risks for familial tendencies and prevent chronic degenerative illnesses. She is devoted to this medicine, to evolving as a healer, and to helping restore balance in each individual in order to reach the highest state of wellness possible.
Her patient visits always include a thorough consultation, any related physical exams, and a treatment plan tailored to the patients’ individual needs.
