Peter Bongiorno, Naturopathic Doctor & Licensed Acupuncturist
Dr. Peter Bongiorno is a doctor of naturopathic medicine and also a licensed acupuncturist. His medical and acupuncture training was conducted at Bastyr University, in Seattle, Wash. Prior to medical school, he worked as a researcher at the Yale University School of Medicine and at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Md.
Dr. Bongiorno serves as communications chair as well as board member of the New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians (NYANP). He currently teaches courses on natural medicine at New York University, Natural Gourmet Institute and the Open Center. He has private practices in both Staten Island and Manhattan, and is a major contributing writer to the third edition of The Textbook of Natural Medicine.
