Tori Hudson, Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Tori Hudson, Naturopathic Physician, graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in 1984, where she has since served in many capacities, including: first female full professor of naturopathic medicine in the United States, medical director and associate academic dean. She is currently medical director at A Woman’s Time (a clinic in Portland, Ore.), program director at the Institute of Women's Health and Integrative Medicine and a clinical professor at NCNM, Bastyr University and Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM).
Dr. Hudson has been the recipient of several prestigious awards on the field of naturopathic medicine. In 1990, The Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) awarded Dr. Hudson its President’s Award for her research in the field of women’s health care; in 1999, she was named Naturopathic Physician of the Year for her leadership in the field of women's health. She has also received the NCNM Pioneer Award.
Dr. Hudson is a national lecturer and author of several books, including Women's Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine and Gynecology and Naturopathic Medicine: A Treatment Manual. She has published several research papers on women’s health and writes regularly for The Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients, Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, Integrative Medicine: A Clinician’s Journal and natural health magazines, such as Taste for Life and Pilates Style. She also periodically contributes articles to Health, Good Housekeeping, Prevention, American Health, Vegetarian Times, Fitness and Healthy Living.
Dr. Hudson has over 24 years of experience and expertise in women’s health utilizing nutrition, nutraceuticals, herbs, bio-identical hormones and other therapies to treat all gynecological and primary care conditions. Her experience extends into research and education, and she has been a guest lecturer at Oregon Health Sciences University, Alta Bates Medical Center, University of North Carolina, Kaiser Permanente, St. Charles Hospital and other medical schools and institutions. Dr. Hudson also appears on many local and network radio and TV programs, including Good Morning America, PBS’s Healthy Living and Lifetime’s New Attitudes.
