Centralized Application Service to Launch, September 2011

(August 9, 2011) — The Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC) is delighted to report that prospective naturopathic medical (ND) students will soon be able to apply for admission using one common application service: Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine Centralized Application Service (NDCAS).

Beginning September 2011, the following four ND schools will be accepting applications for the 2012/13 academic year via NDCAS: Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences, and University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine.

The AANMC recognizes that students and advisors have come to expect access to online tools that ease the college application process. Using this new centralized application, advisors will now be able to track their students’ progress, and student applicants will be able to take advantage of a streamlined process.

Enhancement plans are already underway: Soon after the launch of NDCAS this fall, applicants will be able to check their application status via a mobile platform, subscribe to a newsletter that will assist with the online application process, and use social networking to receive program updates and engage in discussions with peers. Designed to reduce the strain of applying to naturopathic medical school, this new process will bring students one step closer to a career in naturopathic medicine!
