Bastyr University(August 12, 2010) - The ND student team from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine (UBCNM) won first place at the 2010 ZRT Cup in Portland, Ore. Taking home second place was the team from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM). The winners took home $7,500 and $2,500 in prize money, respectively, which will be used to fund naturopathic research at the respective schools.
The ZRT Cup is an annual collegiate quiz bowl sponsored by ZRT Laboratory and presented by the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) and the Naturopathic Medical Student Association. This year's ZRT Cup was held in Portland, Ore., at the AANP's annual conference.
Naturopathic medical students from all seven AANMC member schools competed, and have spent the last several months studying in preparation.
