Mark Williams, Director of Admissions and Alumni Relations

Mark Williams is a 1997 graduate of the University of British Columbia with a major in Asian studies and a minor in political science. After graduation, he spent five years overseas teaching English in Korea at one of the country's top-rated private elementary schools. There he took the time to learn about culture and language and traveled throughout the region. It was a rewarding experience and provided Mark with a new perspective on life and uncovered various possibilities pertaining to his future plans and goals.

Upon his return to Vancouver, B.C., Mark took a position as the head program coordinator for Bodwell University, Canada's largest and most diverse childrens summer English-as-second-language camp. There Mark was responsible for developing the curriculum for nearly 600 students from around the world, as well as hiring and managing 40 teachers and 60 camp counsellors. After that he spent three years as the director of international admissions at the Art Institute of Vancouver, where he traveled the world recruiting students for the institute's various programs. Subsequently Mark was hired as the director of international admissions for the Eminata Group, Canada's largest private post-secondary education company.

For the past two years Mark has served as the director of admissions and alumni relations with the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, Western Canada's first and only accredited naturopathic medical school. He is currently a Master of Education candidate in Simon Fraser’s Leadership, Post-Secondary Services and Student Affairs program.

The Boucher Institute is focused on small classes and as a result has an incredible sense of community. It is rewarding to be a part of such a dynamic and innovative environment and living in the Vancouver area makes this such an amazing place to study naturopathic medicine.
