CCNM, Canada’s premier institute for education and research in naturopathic medicine, offers new thinking, new research and new approaches to health care. CCNM is also home to the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC), a vibrant, on-campus teaching clinic. At RSNC, student interns and naturopathic doctors service more than 26,000 patient visits a year, offering specialty shifts in sports medicine, cancer care, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and pediatrics. The RSNC boasts 40 renovated treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy suite, a sports medicine room and a botanical dispensary. Faculty members and clinic supervisors include NDs, MDs, RNs, RMTs and DCs, as well as MBAs and LLBs teaching business courses.
CCNM's Deptartment of Research is a world-wide leader in advancing our understanding of complementary and naturopathic medicine as a viable, sustainable health-care system. Some research ventures include groundbreaking studies on chronic pain and anxiety with Canada Post workers, the first integrative oncology center in Canada, partnerships with the country's leading universities and research institutes and publications in the topmost naturopathic and medical journals.
Located on the subway line, CCNM’s on-campus facilities include a fitness center, saunas, student lounge, student residence, organic cafeteria, health food and book store and Paracelcus herb garden. The Learning Resource Centre is home to the medical simulation room and computer lab, as well as a selection of more than 11,000 books, journals, multimedia resources and databases.
