Student Profile
Joshua Goldenberg, Naturopathic Medical Student, Class of 2013

Joshua Goldenberg is a third-year student at Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington, where he works as a research scholar as well as a work study student.
Joshua received a BA in molecular biology, magna cum laude, from The University of Pennsylvania in 2006.
After a brief and disappointing venture along the research path of molecular ecology, Joshua decided to do some soul searching via travel in Central America. It was there, in Guatemala, that Joshua met another traveler, and first heard of naturopathic medicine. It quickly became apparent that this was the path he was seeking.
Joshua is an avid supporter of CAM research and is very active as a student researcher, including being a published Cochrane author on Probiotics.
At school, he is also involved with the Student Research Society, the Research Journal Club and the Biomedical Statistics Group.
Upon graduating Joshua plans to practice family medicine and is considering a focus on end-of-life patients. He has a strong interest in geriatric medicine and is currently a hospice volunteer. Joshua hopes to practice in an integrative clinic while also teaching and conducting research.
