Matthew Brenneke, Naturopathic Medical Student, Class of 2014
Matthew Brennecke is a second-year ND student at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Ariz.
Originally from Seattle, Wash., Matthew graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in social work in 2007. During that time, he volunteered for the multiple sclerosis society and also helped develop a support group for friends and family members of domestic violence victims.
Matthew went on to receive a master's degree in social work from Columbia University. He has always had an interest in medicine and decided to pursue that interest at SCNM. Matthew feels it’s important to address the mind, body, and spirit of a person when working towards complete health. His interests include disease prevention, chronic illness, nutrition, and integrative medicine.
