Michelle Hessberger, Naturopathic Medical Student, Class of 2011

Michelle Hessberger, ND Student Michelle Hessberger is currently in her third year of study at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine (UBCNM), where she is also completing a dual degree in acupuncture. Michelle has been active at UBCNM as vice president of the Naturopathic Student Government Association (NSGA) and student representative for Seroyal. She enthusiastically supports and is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the Naturopathic Medical Student Association (NMSA) and the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), because she believes that collaborative, holistic and patient-centered care are incredibly important for health and wellness. Prior to medical school, Michelle taught undergraduate courses in the biological sciences at the University of New Haven. She currently holds a master's degree in cellular and molecular biology and an undergraduate degree in environmental science.

Most notably, Michelle lives with her husband and three children, whose support make this adventure possible. She and her family enjoy spending time together doing outdoor activities, reading and playing volleyball.
