Saman Rezaie, Naturopathic Medical Student, Class of 2011

Saman Rezaie, ND StudentSaman Rezaie is a third-year student at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences (SCNM) in Tempe, Ariz. His interest in nature and the human body led him to earn a BS from St. Mary’s University. He then went on to get a MS in biology from University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where he worked with the strength and conditioning coaches and the men’s tennis team. After completing his masters, Saman’s passion for nutrition and exercise, as well as his interest in preventative medicine, led him to enroll at SCNM.

Since being at SCNM, Saman has been a student ambassador and lead anatomy lab TA, as well as a TA in general lab, for the last five quarters. He was the 2009 student government vice president of organizational affairs, and he is now the board of trustees student representative. This year, Saman is also participating SCNM’s research program, in which he will be conducting research in homeopathy.
