Sara Love, Naturopathic Medical Student, Class of 2010
Sara Love is a fourth-year student at National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Ore. During her time at NCNM, she has focused on researching oncology and learning how natural therapeutics can help patients through their treatments. One of Sara’s case studies was published in the International Journal of Natural Medicine, and she is now working on a pilot study comparing therapies for chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy.
Before attending NCNM, Sara worked as a pharmacy technician, educating other pharmacy technicians as well as working in an inpatient pharmacy. Sara was the pharmacy technology consultant to the Stedman’s Medical Dictionary for the Health Professions and Nursing, 5th ed. She was also honored as the 2006 Oregon Society of Health System Pharmacists Technician of the Year.
Most importantly, Sara lives with her wonderful husband of 12 years and her energetic eight-year-old son, whose support makes her career possible.
